I started reviewing gigs for the local paper when I was sixteen, and I haven’t stopped since. The truth is that I am unable to go to a gig without writing up a review in my head, whether or not I’ve actually been commissioned to write one. I guess I’ve got an urge to tell people about the experience, however amazing or disappointing it may be.

As a hobby singer, fiddle-player and pianist who’s studied music full-time for three years, I love music almost as much as I love writing, and this is where I get to combine these two passions. In addition to writing press releases, promotional copy and artist biographies for record labels and a daily online music show, I’ve written about a wide range of genres and produced reviews for numerous print and online publications.

I started out as a reviewer, and I will always be one.
